Ben Mune is the Principal Adviser and owner of Ascend Financial Services.
Ben has extensive knowledge in home loans, Commercial loans, Construction lending and asset finance.
Ben is highly driven, competitive and has a point to prove which makes him efficient to get the job done for you.
Ben has always had a passion for finance and money management while taking an interest in commerce and business from a young age.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting and International business
- New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services – Residential Property Lending
- New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services – Level 5 Core services strand
It started with buying and selling items on trademe during school to provide a small side income stream. Having this base self-taught knowledge, Ben got a degree in accounting in his early 20’s.
Straight out of University, Ben landed a job at Heartland bank as an analyst. Ben was with Heartland for 5 years, rising through the ranks, quickly becoming a top performer.
The next leap forward was becoming a financial advisor just before COVID hit in March 2020, where he started obtaining much wider exposure to the marketplace dealing with all sorts of lenders and situations to solve.
Ben is constantly looking to ascend to the next level himself, which was the inspiration behind opening Ascend Financial Services in November 2021.
The future is looking exciting and he would love you to come along with him on it.
Ben is an excitable, outgoing individual that loves to chat. Outside of work, he loves his sports, exercising and socialising with mates
